Erosion is the quiet line item that becomes the emergency capex. We assess shoreline behaviour, design protection that works with reef hydrodynamics rather than against them, and set up monitoring so intervention happens on schedule, not in crisis.

We deliver dredging and reclamation as a contractor: capital and maintenance dredging, reclamation fills and beach nourishment, executed with the sediment and turbidity controls that consenting demands. For employers procuring the works elsewhere, we provide the engineering — specifications, method review and quantities.

Beyond dredging, we execute marine works directly — jetty and pontoon construction, structural repairs, mooring and navigation-aid installation, minor coastal works — with in-house method statements and QA, and the Logistics practice behind every mobilisation.

Safe arrival is designed, not assumed. We engineer mooring systems for vessels from dhonis to landing craft, plan anchorages, and design the channel marking and aids to navigation that let a resort or harbour operate day and night.

Independent technical eyes between the client's capital and the contractor's programme. We review designs, prepare tenders, supervise construction and certify progress — reporting to the owner in the language of committees, from kick-off to as-builts. Where Barlovento is engaged as owner's engineer, we do not supervise or certify our own works — roles are fixed per project and disclosed from the outset.
